This was a derelict 4-bedroom council house with a terrible configuration and tricky regulations to meet, but massive potential. Again, the brief specified "lots of natural wood" where possible. With a bit of light structural work we created a kitchen/dining room with lacquered-ply kitchen, walk-in larder and separate utility room; laid new solid waxed wood floors throughout; upgraded the bathrooms with mid-century taps and showers; completely overhauled the tricky exposed electrical systems and restored any exposed copper plumbing pipework; replaced the tired plastic window sills with solid wood and re-painted throughout.
