The house was taken back to a shell, the features were restored, a new loft conversion was added and a kitchen extension was built. The brief specified all original wood in the house to be stripped bare and waxed (a 10-week project alone!) All fixtures and fittings in the house were sourced individually or bespoke-made. Many of the walls were left bare plaster, finished with beeswax.
